PDI’s Yard Truck & Rail Loading Facilities

Each PDI location provides a variety of services, including: warehousing, logistics, packaging, silo and tank storage, ISO container depots, and more. At each yard, we warehouse dry bulk polymers, liquid chemicals (including flammables capability), and food.

PDI Bulk is hiring yard loaders in Guelph, Mississauga, and the Montreal area including Varennes, Lachine, and Montreal East.

Liquid Bulk Loader Jobs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Transfer liquids from railcars into bulk tankers per company procedures
  • Accurate and timely completion of all paperwork
  • Movement of trailers using company shunt trucks
  • Work closely in a team environment
  • Communicate with Supervisor on Health & Safety, Operations, and Maintenance
  • Ensure that work area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner
  • Perform minor repairs
  • Other duties as assigned and as per regular routine in a railyard and trucking terminal

Dry Bulk Loader Jobs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Day Shift, Monday to Friday
Salary: $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Transloading product from railcar to tank truck using pneumatic pump
  • Work with loading schedules & shipping documentation
  • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
  • Weigh materials and goods
  • Movement of trailers using company shunt truck
  • Communicate with Customer Service on quality results and throughput
  • Communicate with Supervisor on Health & Safety, Operational, and Maintenance
  • Ensure that work area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of rail and yard equipment
  • Willingness to train to drive a shunt truck/tractor, farm tractor, lift truck
  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments, such as warehouse, wash bay, packaging
  • Ability to certify in Fall Arrest, First Aid/CPR, GHS, TGD, Emergency Response, etc.
  • Ability to work at heights per company procedure
  • Ability to lift 40-60 lbs
