Safety Policy – We mitigate risk
The management of PDI is committed to minimizing risk to the health and safety of its employees, customers, and contractors. PDI will make every effort to provide a safe work environment, free from health and safety hazards. The Company, the Management, and all workers must be dedicated to our continuing objective of reducing risk and injury.
PDI, as employer, is ultimately responsible for the health and safety conditions of our operations. As President, I give you my personal promise that every reasonable precaution will be taken for the protection of all workers.
All Managers shall be responsible for the enforcement of all health and safety standards among their staff, and shall take necessary precautions in order to eliminate any potential risk.
All employees shall perform all activities in a safe manner, apply good industrial hygiene practices, and work within the standards set by health and safety legislation and company policy. All employees are responsible for their personal safety and the health and safety of those who may be affected by their work. All accidents are preventable and employees are expected to be committed to this ideal, therefore, our goal is zero accidents and occupational health related incidents. All employees will be given access to, training on, and be encouraged to use, information on the potential hazards of products handled and used by the Company.
All work places will be monitored to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Personal Protective Equipment will be made available, and is required to be worn at all times, where appropriate. Protective guards/devices on all equipment, are to be maintained and monitored. Any alterations to these guards/devices, with the intention to render them inefficient, will not be tolerated. Contractors and visitors on our premises will follow all applicable health and safety regulations.
All accidents and near miss situations must be reported, will be investigated immediately, and action taken to prevent re-occurrence.
It is in the best interest of all workplace parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an integral part of this organization from the President to the workers.
